Bobalu’s Southern Cafe – Big Coppitt Key, FL
We always try to visit a few “local” favorites when we travel, but this one will always rank in the top of my list for the delicious foods but also for the nostalgia!
The Lobster Shack – Key West, FL
My husband ordered the Key West Lobster Roll, and I ordered the Lobster Grilled Cheese – I can’t recommend either of them enough, but I think the real winner for me was the grilled cheese!
Two Friends Patio – Key West, FL
we were out shopping around downtown and had worked up an appetite, so we popped into the closest restaurant with some outdoor seating available and lucked into this one, Two Friends Patio.
Stock Rock Cafe – Key West, FL
Stock Island is the key next door and great to go for dinner if you’re hoping to beat some crowds. The extra distance deters the foot traffic for shorter waits.
Half Shell Raw Bar – Key West, FL
One of the ways to scoot around downtown is the Old Town Trolley, and it was during one of these trips around the block that we hopped off to slip into Half Shell Raw Bar for an afternoon snack – happy hour pricing on raw oysters!
Duvall Street – Key West, FL
For some vacationers, shopping can be a key objective, and if that sounds like you, Duvall is a wonderful place to start.
Glazed Donuts – Key West, FL
I ordered a couple of doughnuts, but my favorite was the cinnamon sugar.
Cuban Coffee Queen – Key West, FL
I enjoyed a cuban frappe, which is a delectable blended ice coffee with a shot of cuban espresso. It was delicious and definitely gave me some extra pep in my step for the rest of my day.
Hogfish Bar & Grill – Stock Island, FL
The true star of dinner (and the namesake of the restaurant) was the fried hogfish. It has a delicate flavor, kind of similar to a buttery scallop.
Southernmost Beach Cafe – Key West, FL
We are big fans of appetizers and grabbed a couple off the menu – coconut shrimp and calamari. They were both delicious, but the coconut shrimp was my hands down favorite.
