One of the essential Key West experiences is a sunset in Mallory Square. Many nights we were elsewhere on the island, usually seeking dinner, but we did clear our schedule for this experience on one of our evenings.
There are a multitude of shops surrounding Mallory Square, so you won’t be bored before or after the “main event”. We found an ice cream shop and several little souvenir stores to visit while we waited. As time draws closer, the crowd in the square will begin to grow, so if you want to get prime viewing near the rail, you might want to head over a few minutes early.
