We spent one day just walking around the city and getting a lay of the land – figuring out what restaurants we might want to visit, where they were in relation to other points of interest, and scoping out the things that we might want to come back and photograph later. We also used this opportunity to shop our way down Duvall Street.
For some vacationers, shopping can be a key objective, and if that sounds like you, Duvall is a wonderful place to start. There are a variety of shops, and it’s easy to get lost wandering through them. There are also small food and drink shops all along the way, so you won’t have to end your shopping spree prematurely due to hunger.
I was glad we visited Duvall early on in the trip – because I found two outfits that I used frequently through the trip. They were breezy and light, and super easy to throw on for a day or night on the town.
