The Southernmost Point buoy is a little bit of a misconception because there is actually a publicly accessible point at Fort Zachary Taylor, but that doesn’t stop this spot from being one of the most photographed locations in the United States. If you’re hoping for a tourist photograph here, it’s best to visit first thing in the morning, as there is usually a line of people waiting for the iconic photo.
We skipped out on the shot in favor of exploring, but I was able to snag this “people-less” photo in between tourists.
