Alkaia was the beauty that started it all. And at first, I wasn’t even sure she was right for us.
I was driving my 2015 Honda HRV, kitted out with a roof rack for all my adventuring, but we had just purchased our first horse, Nato, and wanted to get a small tow vehicle. The only mid-size SUV that fits the bill is the Jeep Grand Cherokee. I didn’t want anything bigger, because I didn’t want to feel like I was driving a land yacht, but I just wasn’t completely sold on the Jeep.
So we rented one for a week. I fell in love with it, and found Ali on a used car listing about 4 hours north of our house, and sent Joey to retrieve her.
We’ve owned many beautiful cars, but in my eyes, Ali is the most beautiful of them all. Shes super luxury but also trail capable. With a beautiful panoramic roof, she brings the beauty of nature in but keeps all the harshness out. She is Beauty AND Beast, Refined AND Rugged.
